For those of us who haven’t watched “Goblin” I did say you are missing a lot. And if you fell in love with “Descendants Of The Sun” then I just have to recommend “Goblin” to you. Another great story from the Kim Eun-Sook writer of  popular series: Secret Garden (2010), Heirs (2013) and Descendants Of The Sun (2016). All this series were the talk of the town for a long time and so is “Goblin.” And if you are are a k.pop lover oh boy you have to listen to the tracks. The OST are great. I just cant stop listening.

Gong Yoo as Kim Shin played the 939-year-old immortal goblin and protector of souls who is in search for his bride. The series captures both the ancient times and the present day. With Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) being an unbeatable general in wars during ancient times. He got killed by the jealous young king. And becomes Dokkaebi (Goblin), possessing an immortal life.

The female lead Ji Eun-Tak  played by Kim Go-Eun  a high school student who has the ability to see ghosts hears their whisper of “Dokkaebi’s bride.” I almost thought Grim rippers are supposed to be scary and fearfully ugly hmm but “Goblin” just got one hell of a handsome grim ripper played by Lee Dong-Wook. He coincidentally lives in the same house with the goblin.

The series is so detailed you cant take your eyes of the screen for a moment. As for the casts they were just made for their roles they played. There couldn’t have been anyone better for the roles they played.

The series have got great of everything. Great storyline. Great casts. Great acting skills. Great cinematography. Great original tracks. We can go on and on and never finish.

If you have not got a reason to watch it yet then I have given you more than enough reasons to watch it. Am saving the details of the series so you can experience it for yourself. This is a must watch drama.

  1. Gong Yoo did a really wonderful job in it and the ending was unexpected! I’ve really enjoyed his acting, ever since Coffee Prince and I’m so glad to see him working on such great shows and movies, right now.

We would be glad to know what you think. your comments mean a lot.
